UK Building Regulations, Approved Document E, provides guidance about noise control in residential entrance halls, corridors, or hallways. They say you must cover an area equal to or greater than the floor area with a class C absorber or better. Covering the ceiling area with the absorptive material is the simplest solution.

Selecta Hemp acoustic canopy is a single-piece, natural, floating ceiling absorber. It’s a sustainable product which improves room acoustics. The canopy is available in a natural ‘straw’ colour as well as twenty varying OWAcolor shades. Selecta Hemp suspended ceiling canopies contribute to creating stunning open soffit interior spaces. They impress thanks to the renewable natural hemp fibrous texture. Each canopy consumes less carbon during manufacture, compared to the amount the hemp absorbs while growing. Thus, resulting in negative carbon usage, producing an A1 – A3 GWP value of -2.34 kg CO2 eq/m². Hemp also produces biomass faster than wood, locking away CO₂ more efficiently.
