OWA metal suspended ceiling systems and metal ceiling tiles are high quality and we manufacture to BS 13964 industry standards. We offer effective solutions for a range of interior applications, from commercial offices and retail to education buildings and healthcare projects. Moreover, our metal suspended ceilings are available in a range of different system designs, from clip-in, lay-in, hook-on and bandraster to security and corridor solutions. We also offer plain, perforated or mesh tile surfaces. Plain tiles are easy to clean and suitable for hygienic environments. Whereas, perforated or mesh tiles will offer excellent class A sound absorption with an acoustic pad. An additional pad is not necessary if you only require class C absorption for general installations, i.e. corridors or education facilities to meet BB93 requirements.
A metal suspended ceiling will be more durable than a mineral fibre system. The metal tiles / panels will be stronger and less likely to break, crumble, stain or chip when repeatedly handled during installation or maintenance. Contractors can remove and demount the tiles more frequently than the more fragile mineral equivalents. Although standard galvanised steel and powder coated metal tiles are not suitable for humid environments, they will withstand one-off water leaks. Whereas mineral tiles will stain, absorb water, deteriorate and sag. Also, the lifespan of metal tiles will be longer than mineral tiles. The durable ppc surface can be wipe cleaned, whereas most mineral tiles cannot be cleaned without staining the surface. For designers and architects, a metal suspended ceiling offers a modern and contemporary solution for the interior design. Different sizes, shapes, surfaces and colours can add impact, interest and originality to any scheme. Therefore, a metal ceiling can be a good investment in the long run.
A metal ceiling system is suitable for most interior spaces and environments:
Furthermore, corridors are a primary location for a metal ceiling and many of the above locations contain corridors.
OWA offers numerous metal ceiling systems, from modular continuous ceilings to free-hanging acoustic absorbers:
