OWA – more than a ceiling

The UK construction sector continues to face a period of uncertainty, with many projects experiencing shifting timelines, changing specifications and increased pressure on supply. These challenges are reflected across the conversations we have with contractors, distributors and specifiers, and they continue to shape how we support the market.

That’s why we are strengthening our commitment to being a dependable supply chain partner for customers navigating these conditions with our latest campaign. Our focus on offering ‘more than a ceiling’ is not just a tagline but a real reflection of the practical steps we are taking to improve availability, broaden our product offer and provide clearer guidance throughout the specification and installation process.

It also underpins our commitment to listening to our customers and responding with solutions that help keep projects moving, even when circumstances are difficult. It’s what OWA stands for.

Outstanding product range

OWA’s product portfolio has expanded significantly in recent years but we’ve been sure to blend tradition with innovation so no matter what ceiling systems the project brief calls for, we have a solution readily available.

Mineral wool ceiling tiles and grids remain a core part of our offer, and options include smooth fleece‑laminated tiles for strong acoustic control and specialist tiles for high‑humidity and clinical, hygiene‑sensitive environments. We also manufacture and supply a variety of high‑quality glass wool acoustic ceiling and wall absorbers.

Metal continues to prove to be an important part of our range, with our ceiling systems, tiles, panels, rafts, grids and baffles being widely specified on a variety of projects across the sectors.

Most recently, we have introduced Natura hemp straw tiles, our hemp‑based ceiling tile range. They offer a natural material choice for designers looking to reduce embodied carbon while maintaining acoustic comfort. Manufactured from fast‑growing hemp straw they are a natural, renewable ceiling solution. We can now also provide an acoustically optimised version called Natura A hemp straw tiles which incorporate a fleece backing to provide class A absorption.

All of these modular or free-hanging systems sit alongside our continuous ceiling solution. OWAplan, our seamless acoustic plaster system designed for spaces where visual continuity is important. The system combines a high‑performance mineral board with a smooth spray applied acoustic plaster to achieve class A absorption. OWAplan delivers a refined monolithic finish while still supporting reverberation control in busy interior environments.

Many of these products rank amongst our ‘best sellers’ and are available with short lead times from UK stock. We’ve also recently increased the number of products available from our Midlands warehouse in light of the challenges that many of our customers have been facing over the last few months. To make the product selection process even easier we have a handy comparison guide that shows customers which OWA ceiling system best suits their requirements.
