OWA creates the perfect acoustic balance with new product launch

Demand continues to grow for acoustic suspended ceiling solutions that combine an attractive finish with both sound absorption and insulation. OWA are pleased to announce we have expanded our popular Sinfonia range with the launch of Sinfonia Balance 25. This new 25 mm thick, smooth, white, fleece-covered acoustic ceiling tile is not only a class A sound absorber (90% absorption), but also offers the additional benefit of 40 dB sound attenuation (Dnfw) and 24 dB sound insulation (Rw).

This new option strengthens the versatility of our existing Sinfonia range, offering architects, contractors and installers even more choice when designing for acoustic comfort across education, healthcare, commercial and retail environments.

The Sinfonia Balance 25 dual specification is for use in a variety of different spaces where both reverberation control and speech privacy are important. From classrooms and meeting rooms to open-plan offices, Sinfonia Balance 25 provides a balanced acoustic solution with a clean, modern finish.

At OWA we manufacture via the wet felt process, binding the core mineral wool together with starch and clay to create a solid core material. Sinfonia Balance 25 is a dense ceiling tile that offers high levels of sound absorption and insulation. All our ceiling tiles feature natural and recycled materials, and because we avoid petroleum based resin, the products have a negligible formaldehyde and VOC content which contributes to improved indoor air quality.

The Sinfonia ceiling tile family

The new tile joins a well-established range of acoustic ceiling solutions which we proudly manufacture and supply across the UK. The premium range also includes Sinfonia Silencia, another class A sound absorber (100% absorption) which is a popular choice in the education sector as it contributes to quieter interiors and improved speech intelligibility.

Where speech privacy is a priority, Sinfonia Privacy offers a high level of sound attenuation which makes it the perfect match for boardrooms, consulting rooms and other confidential spaces. With a sound attenuation of up to 40 dB and class C sound absorption (70%), this 20 mm thick tile supports acoustic performance without compromising on aesthetics.

For projects where high performance is still a requirement but budgets are tighter, the standard or classic 15 mm Sinfonia tile offers the same attractive finish with class A sound absorption (90%). This option is appropriate for use across a wide range of environments including classrooms, healthcare facilities, offices and retail spaces.

The Sinfonia range of acoustic tiles, including the new Sinfonia Balance 25, forms a complete suspended ceiling system when combined with OWA’s exposed ceiling grid and perimeter trim.
