Achieve superior seamless finishes with OWAplan acoustic plaster

We have further refined our OWAplan acoustic plaster ceiling system to help contractors achieve a smooth, uninterrupted ceiling surface. The enhancements support a consistently high‑quality monolithic finish, meeting the aesthetic expectations of architects and interior designers while maintaining the practical performance required on site.

OWAplan combines a concealed suspension grid, a white fleece‑covered mineral board and a spray‑applied acoustic plaster to create a continuous acoustic surface with class A sound absorption. The system suits a wide range of sectors where clean lines, acoustic comfort and design flexibility are priorities.

The latest developments centre on the fleece‑free edges of the system’s 2400 x 1200 mm mineral boards. Each board includes a shallow, factory‑machined, fleece‑free edge enabling easy taping and jointing. The panel joint requires minimal filler, ensuring retention of the maximum absorption area, plus the filler is easy to sand.

In addition to the board improvement, we have also refined the ready‑mixed OWAplan XS plaster. The drying time between coats is now approximately two hours per layer, enabling significantly faster progress on site. Depending on project size, this enables the acoustic plaster application to be completed within a single day. Thus reducing additional site visits and labours costs as well as supporting more efficient scheduling for contractors.

You can now install OWAplan using an industry standard MF ceiling system or fix directly fixed to an existing ceiling. Thereby supporting familiar build‑ups and helping contractors deliver projects more cost‑effectively. While white is standard, a broad selection of RAL colours is available for projects with specific aesthetic requirements.

We manufacture the OWAplan baseboard from mineral wool bound with natural potato starch and liquified clay, with no chemical binders. This supports low VOC emissions and contributes to improved indoor air quality, which is an increasingly important consideration for architects and specifiers.

Pacy & Wheatley is among the specialist contractors now working with the enhanced OWAplan system, with the team recently completing a dedicated training session at OWA’s training facilities in Germany.
