When ceiling contractor Tapper Interiors designed their new corporate headquarters in Banbury, they wanted to create an interior space that was on trend and different to the norm. Rather than installing an MF ceiling that is labour intensive and requires taping, jointing and finishing, they chose our RAW concrete acoustic boards. The boards were screwed to battens directly fixed to the soffit. No filling, sanding or decorating is required. Offering class C absorption, RAW concrete absorbs sound unlike traditional plasterboard. To increase the sound absorption in noisy spaces, i.e. the reception and the boardroom, free hanging, designer, class A acoustic canopies were installed, white fleece covered Cloud and Corpus respectively. The Clouds above the reception desk were enhanced by the inclusion of coloured LED’s.
